Okay, the living room, dining room, kitchen, guest bath, hall and guest bedroom are all painted. All that is left is my room. It is looking pretty good and I would love to show you, but I just can't get it to work!!
Tomorrow my schedule is from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m. - that is, of course, if I am not fired first thing. Saturday, I accidentally let a customer leave without paying for about $130 worth of groceries. Talk about feeling like an idiot! So tomorrow, I am certain to get the results of this huge, huge error! Anyway, I want to tell you about cashiering - it smacks me right in the face with my age! Now, generally, I feel like I am around 30 - 35 years of age (until I look in the mirror, naturally!) But when I stand at the register for four hours, run home, take Gina out, go back to the register for another four hours - I generally feel like a truck has not only run over me, but backed up to say he was sorry! A glass of wine is sufficient to knock me out!!! Then, in the middle of the night, there are about 5 or 6 charlie horses. So 5 or 6 times a night I am leaping out of bed and dancing around trying to get my legs to work correctly again! If I am fortunate enough NOT to get fired tomorrow, I will be looking for another job starting at the end of April! My 70 year old legs seem to want to remind me that the rest of me is 70 also. Nope, not happening - I am not giving up the ghost yet!. Crying uncle is not in the picture, so I will just find something else to do.
Today was a lovely day, though. Eileen and I had a very nice round of golf, lunch - then later went to Joette's for Easter dinner. It was also very lovely (and very, very filling) and delicious and the company was very, very nice. (Joette, Marty, Judy, Jim and Joette's mother). It was very upbeat since Joette and Marty sold their condo and bought a house and are very excited!
Gretchen is coming for a visit Wednesday, so I have taken off the 11th, 12th & 13th just for fun and sun with her. Fun is not something that is difficult for us to have, so I am sure it will be a great break.
I will let you all know how it goes!. Thanks so much for checking. Hope your Easter was peaceful and lovely. (I'll also try the photos again!) Ricci
