Golf Again + Revelations

Well, as you know, I played golf with the gentleman (?) upstairs. We played again and this time he took me to lunch afterward. This is what I learned. We went to a little restaurant overlooking the gulf. It also overlooked a patio housing a tiki bar and swimming pool. There were quite a few people at the pool, many of them women!! Rich was quite busy ogling all of the women. Finally, it occurred to me that while he likes me as a neighbor with whom to play golf, I am “too old” for him otherwise. (In addition, the guy in front of us at golf invited us to go to brunch with the league that was in front of us, but Rich said no, and assured him we were not a couple – “just neighbors”) I guess that is why he saw fit to take me to lunch – even he had to realize what an ass he is. I guess this is what the world is all about at this age! It certainly provides great entertainment!!! Seems he goes to the pick up bars on the weekends, and you can bet the women he is flirting with are not 70!!! And, in case you are wondering, I am not upset. Actually, I find it quite amusing. This is not anything that is news. Meanwhile, I am working on recovering an ottoman, working and getting ready to go to Cleveland for 11 days at the end of the month. The two times we played golf, Rich was kind enough to pay ($20 each), but today he told me that I get no more “free golf”. I am certain that is because he didn’t want me to get the wrong idea about our golfing. So life continues to be as entertaining as ever and Gina and I are enjoying our new digs! Thursday, I am heading to Cleveland for birthdays (Meigan, Morgan, Scotty). Also to spend a couple of nights babysitting the grandchildren. Should be a fun week. Will let you know when I return.
